As we start to loosen our tight embrace on summer, we've been reflecting on our summer bucket list. Trying to decide what still needs to be done- making a volcano!- and what can wait until next summer. Most lists around here are written in the sand, including this one. I never thought we'd complete it all- especially with our move- but it was a handy reminder of our summer ideal, inspiring us to make the most of those hot, beautiful days. Which was the purpose after all, to remind us to make time for the summer reading program or to take time out to make mud pies...
...with our hands, and the occasional truck too (wink). Does it get any better than a mud pit and water? Such simple, cheap fun. We also made some awesome Malian art with our mud too, but I'll share more about that tomorrow. Did you make a summer bucket list this year?

We did have a summer bucket list and we accomplished quite a bit from it! We had everything from simple activities like kite flying to big activities like a trip to a dinosaur museum/park. It was a lovely summer. I'm in denial that it's over.
ReplyDeleteI love your mud pit. We didn't do that this year... maybe next year!
Wishing you a lovely day.

The dinosaur museum/park sounds like fun! Hopefully you had gustier gusts kite-flying then we did, we couldn't get ours to stay up this summer. Hoping for stronger winds this fall ;)
DeleteWould love to hear from you!
